Sometimes older people are not able to remember all the medications, it's time to take medications and open bottles very tightly. Therefore, elderly people need a packaging tool that promotes compliance, automatically dispenses appropriate medication and reminds them to take medication on time and is easy to use. Systems such as vending machines and electronic medication organizers provide additional functionality to ensure the right medications, right dosage, and right time are dispensed for up to 28 days (Kim et al., 2015). Tools such as the e-pill are extremely helpful to older adults for medication adherence. They are also useful for long-term treatments at home, as this tool automatically dispenses an appropriate number of medications.
