    After reading the essay “The Ghetto Made Me Do It” written by Francis Flaherty, I thought about the situation differently than before hearing both sides of this tragic story. My perspective shifted from being biased towards Felicia Morgan to feeling sympathetic for her. However, no matter how you defend this story, it doesn't change how callous and tragic this homicide was. Felicia Morgan's attorney, Robin Shellow, says the environment Morgan grew up in was somewhat comparable to a "war zone." In some ways I agree with Shellow and think there are similarities between the two. Although the lawyer makes it clear that there is a difference between the ghetto and a war zone and that the ghetto is, in some ways, worse.
