  • Essay / Human Brain Thinking - 1410

This study focused on the psychological aspect of how the individual reacts to fear. The Baby Albert study is what put Watson on the map. He used animals and a mask to create fear. In order to successfully make Albert fear the animals, Watson used a loud sound to trigger the scare. Somehow, Watson conditioned Albert's brain to make a connection between the loud noise and the animals, which soon made him feel fear. The study showed that fear develops with the experiences we have as humans. This is quite interesting to know, because fear somehow shows our most traumatic experiences which make us more aware of what we despite. Love is the second study conducted by Harry Hallow. He wanted to explore what love was. This study focused on monkeys and how they chose the mother who gave them the most comfort. He eventually discovered that the mother who provided warmth and protection was the one who provided love. This is how we humans react. Love is an affection provided to us from birth by being nurtured, receiving warmth, and being protected. This study showed how much we need affection and physical touch to feel love and give love.
