Chapter three explains the effects of organizations geared towards the transformation and education of children and young adults. One of the major organizations is the SVM – Student Volunteer Movement for Foreign Missions – which has encouraged many people to become foreign missionaries through a balanced program of spiritual and physical discipline. This quickly spread to missions in Africa and Latin America. Furthermore, in the 21st century, Asia has become a major contributor to missionary work in many countries. For example, the first public gathering of Christian worship began in China after the Cultural Revolution of 1979. China became the largest Western "mission field." A few years ago, it was estimated that there were between 40,000 and 80,000 Indian workers spreading the gospel to other ethnic groups. These are just a few examples of how Christianity developed.
