Essay / Why gay people deserve rights - 1049
HomosexualityHave you ever gone through a stage of homosexuality? Homosexuality is discriminated against due to religious beliefs, health benefits, and the understanding of homosexuality is that one gender loves the same gender. There used to be laws against homosexuality so people couldn't be seen together in public if they were gay. Homosexuality has been a characteristic of people for a long time. Predominantly, and most notably in archaic Greece, certain forms of lewd attraction and intimate thrill between men were often chronic and accepted as part of the cultural norm. However, some intimate activities (such as anal sex in some cultures or oral sex in others) were not approved, although other forms were applauded. In cultures under the influence of the Christian, Islamic and Jewish religions, the law and the Church established sodomy as a transgression of divine law, an "unnatural crime" practiced by slaughter, and subject to severe penalties, going as far as capital punishment, often inflicted by those designated by fire in order to purify the impious action. The condemnation of anal sex, however, predates Christianity by denoting the use of fire in order to purify the unholy action. The condemnation of anal sex, however, predates Christianity and appeared in archaic Greece, where the theme of action “against nature” was born. Are you against homosexual people? People discriminate against gay people every day. Some people who experience discrimination fight back with words or fists. Some say nothing, just absorb the words and continue to accept what they are. I am not against homosexuals because I understand their emotion when people talk about them as if they are wrong. Research indicates that it is middle of paper...... the courts and legislatures of every state, there is no other organization that can match our record of progress in both the courts and in the court of public opinion. The ACLU works to ensure that LGBT people have equal opportunities to fully participate in civil society. No LGBT person should face discrimination in employment, housing, businesses and public places, or suppression of their freedom of expression or right to privacy. The ACLU seeks emerging anti-discrimination laws at the state and federal level, and resists all attempts to emasculate the impact of existing non-discrimination laws. With the repeal of the Don't Ask, Don't Tell law, our current federal priority is passage of the Employment Nondiscrimination Act. Even if there are homosexuals, they should have rights like everyone else has rights like the right to vote..
