    From 1BCE to the Present A lot is happening regarding government. This happened all over the world, so there was a lot going on about the government. I learned most things about government when we learned about new places and time periods, but I think there was a lot more that concerned government back then. There will be 4 different periods. 1bce to 1000, 0 to 1000, 1000 to 1800 and 1800 to the present day. I will provide information for each of these periods on the different governments. Lots of crazy things have happened in different types of government. There were many different emperors and so on. In 1BCE and before, emperors were essentially the government. They made all the rules. They had a different social structure depending on the country. they could also do whatever they wanted. The Code of Hammurabi was also written at this time. Hammurabi's code was a set of rules. The main reason for these rules was “an eye for an eye”. Ancient Rome was basically a monarchy. In Greece, Athens was a democracy and Sparta an oligarchy. India governs its rulers on the basis of divine assistance. In Mesopotamia it was theocracy, meaning government by divine authority. China's Zhou dynasty had an organized postal service for government use by 900. By 500, Chinese government officials were using a fast and established mail service. “The Roman government became known as Caesar's Civil War, it also eliminated the Roman Republic (509-27 BC) and led to the Roman Empire (27 BC – 476 AD). » The tyrannical government produced theft, as the rebels plundered their own country as well as neighboring countries. The Common Era began in 399 BCE. This is "The year numbering system used...... middle of paper ......
