    Florence Nightingale David was born in Ivington, a small town in England. Her parents were both principals and taught elementary school. Florence had completed her education and obtained a major in mathematics from Bedford College for Women. She always wanted to become an actuarial practitioner, but at the time, women weren't really accepted in society yet. At the time, women were still discriminated against and even if they got a job as an actuary, they were later rejected. After that, they kept going and never gave up. Eventually, she taught statistics at University College London, while persisting in her studies in statistics. Then Neyman, who was also a mathematician; who was adamant that Florence obtain a doctorate. She later earned a doctorate in 1938 and continued teaching until the start of World War II. She was awarded as a professor of statistics and received recognition. Then from there, she continued her studies in California. In 1968, she was chair of statistics and she had earned her place. Other mathematicians tried to take her down, but she fought them with all the power she had. Moreover, in addition to what she had managed to do, she had become a professor emeritus around 1977 in California. She then continued as a specialist with the United States Forest Service. He has received awards such as the University of California Teaching Award and the Elizabeth L. Scott Award. At the age of 83, she died of lung cancer at her home in California. Mina Spiegel Rees, a woman from Cleveland, Ohio, born August 2, 1902 and died October 25, 1997. I wouldn't take advantage of it because for those who didn't, they worked hard for me to get the degree I want. I know now that I can achieve anything if I put my mind to it and I know it sounds so basic and simple but it's true. The fact that I am a woman as a freshman in college gives me courage. I kind of make sense because not only am I just a freshman in college, but I'm a woman. I definitely know enough to put everything I've worked for into my studies. Many women before me have worked so hard just so that I could stay here on this earth and have the chance to do what I want to do and I thank them for that...
