Computers have fascinated me since I was a child. Like any child, I initially interpreted it as just a gaming device. However, as I got older, I began to develop a curiosity making me want to learn how it works. It was around this time that I was introduced to the concept of programming in my college. When I was taught that computers could be used to do almost anything, I wasn't convinced; I wanted to see about it myself. This pushed me to choose computer science as my main stream of study in high school. It was then that I realized the immense potential of computers and the countless opportunities it presented, thereby increasing my interest in the field. Through a combination of carefully made decisions and persistent hard work, I was able to turn this interest into a successful career. During the time between high school and college, I started helping my father in his business. I noticed he was having trouble managing all of his clients' information in a bunch of spreadsheets. I wanted to make this information management easier for him; So I started my research on finding an alternative solution. In three months, I created simple database-driven software with an intuitive interface that he could use to easily manage his clients. He found the software so useful that he shared it with two of his partners who praised it for its ease of use. It was then that I decided to take an undergraduate program that would improve my programming skills and further expand my knowledge of the entire software development process. This led me to pursue a bachelor's degree in information technology. My bachelor's degree exposed me to all major areas of computer science. It included in-depth manpower...... middle of paper...... <<<<< I firmly believe that just being skilled in software development is no longer enough to thrive in this fast-paced industry. I always wanted to take a course where I could develop advanced IT skills and soft skills that are management focused such as communication, leadership, decision making and strategy skills that would position me for continued success in any IT workplace and help me career as a consultant/analyst in which my potential can be effectively utilized for the growth and development of an organization. My long-term goal is to pave my way into the field of system design through contributing original ideas and translating these ideas to develop high-end applications and products. In this endeavor, I hope to contribute significantly to human society by improving the quality of life and standard of living.>>>>>
