Plan: In order to promote healthy development based on the four theories and developmental tasks of middle adulthood, the nurse and the SO designed a plan by making a list of objectives towards which the OS must work. SO and the nurse agreed that as a client, SO would continue to manage and maintain a healthy balance between her career, finances, and family. SO will also continue to make a positive contribution to her family by caring for and being a positive influence on her grandchildren. Additionally, she will continue to be active in her church by teaching Sunday school and leading a girls' Bible study. Considering that SO doesn't like people and would prefer not to participate in group activities, the nurse and SO decided that SO would try talking to more people her age at church as she builds up her tolerance towards the opinions and actions of others. In order to cope with stress, increased communication can cause SO and to improve her mental health, SO will dedicate an hour or two a day to alone time so she can just shut up and get away from stressful circumstances and people . SO will also work to accept the changes in her body due to the hysterectomy and the aging process. She will try to feel less frustrated by these changes and will let her anger pass quickly. Finally, SO will continue to look to God and her husband for support, while continuing to develop these relationships on a daily basis. The client will continue to develop intimacy with her husband, even if sex is no longer essential. In order to achieve the goals of Healthy People 2020, SO will continue good lifestyle behaviors and change bad health care habits. SO will continue to get the recommended seven to eight hours of sleep per night and she will continue her weekly exercise...... middle of paper......?
