Essay / Qualitative vs. Quantitative human research...
Qualitative research based on this process is favored by those seeking an autobiographical or historical narrative. Stories can provide a tone and emotion to a time or event that quantitative research and some qualitative designs lack, such as the despair felt by Paris, France, when it was occupied by Germany Nazi (Sandelowski, 2000). Narrative reports can explore students' experience with SNS. An example of narrative research is that of Qing Li (2005), focusing on cyberbullying in schools. Li interviewed 177 seventh graders and listened to their stories about their experiences with “cyberbullying.” Although often engaging for the reader, Criswell (2015) warns against the narrator's partiality or exclusive reliance on the narrator. The narrative relies heavily on the narrator's memories which may be filtered, biased or sometimes
