In modern America, many major issues continue to divide our nation. Top issues include health care, the growing national debt and the economy. These issues are commonly discussed and generally the general opinion is the same, the only thing that differs is the approach taken to achieve the common goal. Health care is generally seen as a good thing and we need to cover as many people as possible, the increasing national debt is obviously seen as bad and we need to find a way to reduce it, and the economy is not not strong right now and we need to find a way to improve it. This is common in most issues, but one of America's problems tends to be extremely polarizing. Gun rights have become one of the most controversial issues among the American public and opinions vary widely regarding the desired outcome as well as the methods of achieving that desired outcome. One end of the spectrum believes guns are too dangerous and wants heavy restrictions on their ownership. The other end believes the Second Amendment protects our right to own guns and wants very little resolution....
