Essay / Main aspects of the Holocaust - 8191
Main aspects of the HolocaustThis project covers several of the main aspects of the Holocaust. On most topics, I focused on a particular event or location (like Auschwitz for the camps or Kristallnacht for the rise of the Nazis). I did this because I think the Holocaust needs to be looked at on a more personal and individual level to see how bad it was and you can't really do that by just skimming over a certain topic. I chose to cover the main standard bog areas like camps, ghettos, etc. Because, even if it's not very original, I didn't know them well and I wanted to discover something. Plus, I don't think people realize how bad some aspects (like the ghettos) were. I didn't, which is another reason why I chose to cover all the major topics.1Background, Factors, and Long-Term Causes of the HolocaustThe Formation and Growth of Hitler and the Nazi PartyHitler was born in 1889 and moved to Germany in 1913, where he served his new country despite losing World War I. After the war, he returned to Germany, where he discovered a country in the grip of economic and cultural disaster. Everywhere he looked there were scenes of famine, poverty, despair and bloody street fights. People were desperate after the war, revolutions were happening everywhere, each with its own response that the German people were demanding to prevent their country from becoming the economic leader. it was a disaster. These revolutionary/organizing parties that were being established were all focused on responding to the current German struggle. Most of the parties' main opinions and beliefs were similar as they focused on patriotism, and...... middle of paper ...... it is clear that Germany is on the verge of losing the war. April 44: Allied forces invade more camps. and Jews living in freedom. The same month: Hitler commits suicide in his Berlin bunker.
