Humanity has prospered through the cooperation of humans and, on a broader level, governments. Most humans live much longer and in luxury than they would in pre-modernity. Through capitalism, humans have the opportunity to pursue wealth and take advantage of the free market, which creates a competitive environment that forces technological advancement.
