Essay / Health and Wellbeing of Australia's Indigenous People
Since 1788, when white people first arrived in Australia, Australia's Indigenous people have suffered systematic degradation of Indigenous culture and people. It is for this reason that Aboriginal people have profound effects on health and emotional well-being (Dudgeon 2010, p. 38). Overweight and obesity are major contributors to uncontrolled diabetes among Aboriginal Australians.
