Apple Inc. (iPod)Apple Inc, formerly Apple Computer Inc. is an American multinational corporation focused on the design and manufacture of consumer electronics and software product development. Apple was founded in Cupertino, California on April 1, 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. Apple develops, sells and supports a series of personal computers, portable media players, mobile phones, computer software, computer hardware and hardware accessories. iPod, the new way to listen to music (the 1st and 2nd generation) Among all their products, the iPod has been their most successful product since its introduction on October 23, 2001. The first iPods used Toshiba hard drives from 5 GB the size of a quarter, ARM processors (the same processors used in the Newton and Acorn), a Pixo operating system, a large high-resolution display, a lithium polymer battery and the feature most recognizable aesthetic of the device which is the scroll wheel. This first iPod was billed as a Mac-compatible product with a 5GB hard drive that put "1,000 songs in your pocket." This product received moderately good response from consumers, although many complained about the lack of Windows compatibility and the high price of $400. To meet consumer needs, a special iPod is available for Christmas 2002, consisting of 20 GB of storage space, compatible with Windows PCs via MusicMatch. This era was also significant for the iPod, with the arrival of iTunes in 2002. This iTunes helped users download and purchase their favorite songs from the Internet. Since the first two generations of iPods, they have been proven to have successfully penetrated the mp3 music industry. , another hardware revision arrived in April 2003, introducing the iPod into their third generation. This new iPod had a hardware revision, which had no mechanical buttons and the function buttons were moved just below the screen and were solid state like the scroll wheel (Fig.2). This version supported both FireWire and USB 2.0 and increased their storage capacity from 10 GB to 40 GB. Introduction of the iPod Mini To be able to compete with the market leader in the mp3 industry dominated by high flash players range and penetrate the market, Apple introduced its new member of the iPod family, the iPod mini in January 2004 (Fig 3). Unlike the iPod, the iPod mini has 5 different colors: blue, green, pink, silver and gold. This iPod mini has smaller screens and higher storage capacity than any flash player on the market, and also a lower price than the normal version which is $249.
