    The human psyche is an important part of every human being. One of the most important topics that the human psyche impacts is survival. One of the main focuses of the human psyche and survival is how the human psyche plays an active role in humans' needs to fend for themselves and continue to survive. The human psyche is the totality of the human mind, conscious and unconscious. The three main categories of the human psyche are the id, the ego and the superego. Survival is the will to stay alive or the act of staying alive, especially after facing mortal danger. On a controversial level, some humans view survival in different ways. An example of survival would be a person living an average life in a suburban area. To survive, they went to a store to buy food and water. There is no serious life-threatening situation or drastic behavior necessary to “survive.” On the other hand, in a situation where life is in danger and no civilization exists, a human being has to fight for his food and water by taking rash and bold decisions. This serious situation can cause a drastic change in the emotional and psychological aspects of a human being. The target age group in this topic is young adults. An adolescent age group is targeted because young adults are very fragile and malleable. They are at a very important and crucial time in their lives where they are beginning to develop a sense of freedom and independence whilst being protected and cared for by their guardians. The human psyche plays a role in human survival through the instinctive aspect of the id, the reality of the ego and the consciousness of the superego.
