    He said: “I might as well see my treasure/and my cattle taken care of by you all/…I would maintain my claim; you could make restitution./ In this way you harm me when my hands are tied” (II, 80-85). At the end of his speech, Telemachus says that if no one does anything about it, he might as well give up, but then he backtracks and says that ultimately it's all up to the audience. He did his part, he made this call for help, but if the Ithacan leaders don't do anything to improve his situation, then it's all their fault.
