It also refers to movement, physical forms, etc. Phonology: This subcategory concerns how sounds are arranged to create meaning. For example, in English (r) and (l) are two specific letters that give different meanings but are heard the same way when voiced. Like the words road and load, these two words are different and give a specific meaning but heard the same way when speaking. There may be differences in the vowel, preposition, consonant, etc...
