When I finished reading the book, I was amazed because no one had ever told me about how some teenagers struggle against drugs, alcohol and are sexually assaulted. I knew they existed and that it was a problem, but I didn't know about all the bad outcomes. I didn't know how painful it was, and that was just because I never took the time to think about it until I read this. When it comes to sexual abuse, you don't have to be a rapist to abuse you, and the person doesn't have to be a rapist to assault you. If you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, you are no longer yourself. The next day, you may not even remember anything. This is what most young adults don't understand. Sexual assault can even involve having sex for the sole purpose of obtaining drugs and alcohol. Drugs and alcohol are depressants. Consuming these substances is the solution, and it leads to being even more depressed and possibly overdosing. This is the message that I tried to convey through each text
