  • Essay / Procrastination is such a drag - 570

Procrastination seems to be a habit that everyone has a hard time trying to give up. Whether it is school or work, it becomes the worst enemy of students or employees. Procrastination is something that even I try to stop, but it doesn't last very long. I would say it's like a diet; some people try to do this, but it only lasts a short time. The effects of procrastination are the main reason why people don't like it as much. I believe life would be much better or perhaps easier if procrastination never existed, but it's part of human nature so we'll just have to live with it. School is one of the places where people procrastinate regularly. In the high school I attended, every year for every science class; students had to complete a science project for a science fair. Due to my lack of wise time management, I always felt like I had very little time to work on my project. I used to think the reasons were because I was busy with other things at school, work or basketball practice. Looking back on this period, I realize that I had a lot of free time to work on my project, but instead I used that free time to do what I wanted and what I shouldn't. not do. So when it came to the last few weeks or months before projects were due, I always had to rush out and solve the simplest project so I could complete it in just a few days. procrastination was the cause of my bad timing, but sometimes it also made me forget the things I was supposed to do. For example, doing homework or studying for a test. I often told myself that I can do this later in the day or at night. Then, at the end of the day, I would feel like I had something to do for the day, but I couldn't remember what it was until the next morning. As for test time, I would be frustrated because if I had studied instead of procrastinating the day before, I wouldn't have as much trouble answering the questions..
