Essay / My Beach Vacation in Hawaii
After a twenty-six hour flight, I stepped off the plane with the hot, bright sun shining on my face. I felt exhausted and excited. Holding my carry-on bag in one hand, my sunglasses, and my flowing dress with my book in the other hand, I zoomed through the airspace. I couldn't believe it! I was really in Hawaii. The Hawaiian air and sun warm and bathe my skin in its radiance. I breathed deeply and smelled a sweet floral scent wafting from a large flower bed completely covered with colorful garlands of all kinds. There were purple and green and yellow, and just about every color you can imagine. I walked over to the flower bed and picked up a purple and white garland that smelled so good. I plunge my face deep into it. I breathed in the intoxicating scent that came from the little white flowers. I asked what the flower was called and the little old lady, with her skin blackened and wrinkled by the sun, told me that the flower was called tuberose and that the purple flowers were orchids. Orchids are my absolute flower. I couldn't part with the smell, so I bought the beautiful tuberose-orchid garland. The little old lady told me it was called lei, which means garland in Hawaiian. I couldn't believe I was in Hawaii. Say no to plagiarism. Get a tailor-made essay on “Why Violent Video Games Should Not Be Banned”? The trees had bright red flowers on each branch and if there were no flowers, the trees were laden with fruits like mangoes, papayas and star fruit. I couldn't believe my eyes; Hawaii was so beautiful and vibrant. Everywhere I looked bright and full of color. After driving for about twenty minutes, we slowed down as we approached the sea. It took my breath away. We were on a cliff made of black, sharp lava rocks. We took photos for souvenirs. The sound of the ocean calmed my mind. I danced in the sun laughing. The sea was deep blue in some places and light blue in others. When the blue waves hit the black lava rock, the water flew into the air, throwing mist everywhere. It was beautiful and refreshing. We went to a beach called Queen's Beach. Once we parked the car, I ran towards the deep blue water. The hot sand squished between my toes.
