A data analysis of 115 minor sex trafficking victims was carefully examined and researched. Information surrounding these cases was collected using two specific methods. One method included reviewing press releases on human trafficking cases issued by the Department of Justice. The second method was to obtain information through online media searches. This study examines research that began on October 28, 2000 and extended through October 31, 2009. If a human trafficking case occurred in the United States where the victim was under the age of 18 and at least one criminal arrested, charged or convicted, their case would be classified in the data analysis report. This research resulted in the discovery of 115 separate incidents of human trafficking, involving at least 153 victims and 215 criminals or perpetrators, with 117 (53.4%) of them found guilty of their heinous acts.
