They can film together. They reunite, but tragedy strikes when a drunken Tommy wants to show off his new car. Inside the car, they hear a radio broadcast announcing a discovery made by NASA. The ring Tommy gave them is extraterrestrial. They connected the ring to Wonder Boy. Wonder Boy is shocked and angry at Tommy. There is a terrible car accident and Margaret is killed. Wonder Boy, now in his 40s, wants to do one last show. He tells Elizabeth that NASA is after him. He has no choice. Elizabeth still thinks he's delusional because of his head injury. She wants to see the capsule. Wonder Boy searches for it, but the secret compartment won't open. Elizabeth thinks her father is delusional and Wonder Boy begins to wonder if he just told a good story.
