When I was younger, I watched soap operas with my mother and grandmother. The soap operas were all about cheating on your wife or husband. There were sex scenes that I always wanted to watch. I think soap operas show how messed up society is. This made me believe that in the future I would be prone to being cheated and life would be hard. I guess that prepared me well, because in today's society, cheating is acceptable. I think of my grandparents, I think of a happy generation. There was rarely cheating and all the bad things that come with our generation today. I think part of the reason older people had fewer problems in their relationships was due to the media. They didn't have Twitter, cell phones, Facebook and all the others to communicate and cheat. They were happy with their lives and under no pressure to harm them.
