On November 7, 1918, on a small dairy farm in Charlotte, North Carolina, William F. Graham was born. He was the first of his four siblings on the family farm. No one expected Graham to be the kid who would become a world-famous preacher. Graham was a preacher at revival meetings in Los Angeles and appeared on Stuart Hamblen's radio show in 1949. (Bio.com) The publicity made Graham a worldwide celebrity and he began traveling the world announcing the word of Jesus Christ to millions of people. He preached to more audiences than anyone in history (approximately 215 million people). He has led hundreds and thousands of different people to make the big decision to live for Christ, and that is why he began his ministry. There are many benefits to being a preacher. During his journey, Billy met kings, queens, presidents and even celebrities. He has worked with every president since Truman. No matter who he preaches to, his message remains exactly the same. “Everywhere I go, I see that people…both leaders and individuals…are asking a fundamental question,” Graham said. The traveling minister's name was Mordecai Ham. Although Billy was a well-behaved child, he attended almost all of Mordecai's revival meetings, which greatly influenced young Graham.
