    During the 6th century BCE, ancient Greek philosophy began to develop. It continued to grow during the Hellenistic period, when the Roman Empire invaded ancient Greece. Ancient Greek philosophy covered many topics, including "political philosophy, ethics, metaphysics, ontology, logic, biology, rhetoric, and aesthetics." Modern philosophers can conclude that ancient Greek philosophy had a huge influence on Western views of philosophy. There are many traces of the influence of ancient Greek philosophy in early Islamic philosophy, the European Renaissance, and the Age of Enlightenment. Some have claimed that ancient Greek philosophy was influenced by "the wisdom literature and mythological cosmogonies of the ancient Near East." Martin Litchfield West gives qualified agreement to this view, stating that "contact with Eastern cosmology and theology helped liberate early Greek philosophy." the imagination of philosophers; it certainly gave them many suggestive ideas. I believe the meaning of life is to honor God, love everyone, believe in Jesus Christ and repent to reach the afterlife. Besides that, I also like Aristotle's view that the meaning of life is to obtain the highest good, which is happiness. I also agree with him that people are not naturally good, but they have to try hard to become good. This is also in line with the Christian view that man is born in sin..
