Scholars have described the media as the fourth branch of government. There are three, namely the judicial power, the legislative power and the executive power. Scholars would say that the media constitutes a fourth branch because of the influence it exerts on politics and government. Others will say that it is far from a fourth branch because it actually has no domain, but what can be agreed is that it is very influential. Not only does it tell us about what is happening in the United States, but also about all aspects of the situation. If the media agreed, then they could be a big help in getting people to accept it.
