Over time, society has repeatedly changed its views on sexuality and continues to change. A big impact on sexuality would be mainly media, but also on other things. This can be in any form, for example, television, films, magazines, advertisements, music, dance and much more. All of these have shaped society's view of what is right or wrong regarding sexuality and what is appropriate or normal. Watching these things in movies and other types of media can and has changed the way people think. It changed the idea that sex is no longer really a special emotional thing. It's just something to have fun with. The biblical view on this is extremely different. The Bible says that sex is a very special thing to have with a partner that you will love and cherish for eternity. It is said to only have sex after marriage and if you don't, it is a sin to God. The Bible also says that sex is not just about pleasure, it is also about creating a new being. This is seen in Genesis when Adam and Eve have the first children ever created from another human being. The Bible also says that a man and a woman must love each other and become one flesh before having sex. Genesis 2:24 Therefore a man leaves his father and mother and is united with his wife, and they become one flesh. In 1. 1 Corinthians 7:2 “But because of the temptation to fornication, every man will have his own wife, and every woman her own husband. In this verse it is said that sex before marriage is a very big sin. This brings us to marriage. The way the media has changed the way people perceive sexuality and sex is not the only thing it has changed. In the past, same-sex marriage and any other marriage between a man and a woman was illegal and everyone thought it was a very wrong thing to do. But since 2019, same-sex marriage has been legalized in Australia and many other countries. In the past, no one would have ever thought that this would happen, but the media and society's lifestyle have changed everyone's view of what the ethics of sexuality really are. The biblical view of marriage is a little different from society's view, but it is not wildly wrong. God does not say that same-sex marriage is a sin. He just says you might be tempted. This is because a man or woman cannot help but love the same sex. God created everyone differently and he's not saying same-sex marriage is a sin, he's just saying it's a temptation and may not be?
