Desperate Times, Desperate Measures Some Like It Hot is the classic Billy Wilder comedy, one of Marilyn Monroe's many iconic performances . It spawned countless similar comedies, one being the Wayans brothers' wildly popular White Chicks. Some Like it Hot begins with two musician friends working in a speakeasy. Joe and Jerry work under the direction of the mobster Spats, owner of the speakeasy. An informant nicknamed Toothpick Charlie alerts the police to the speakeasy's presence, prompting Joe and Jerry to attempt to escape with a band that needs their musical talent. After finding an all-girls band and a small concert a few miles outside of town, they decide to take on a small concert. On their way out, they see Spats taking revenge on Toothpick Charlie. Spats sees them and decides that they must be killed as well. Joe and Jerry narrowly escape and decide to disguise themselves as women and accept the position in the all-female group, as they know Spats and his team will hunt them down. Joe and Jerry leave Chicago on a train for Miami, under the guise of saxophone and violin players Josephine and Daphne (after Jerry decides he doesn't really like the name Geraldine). Once on board, they meet the beautiful Sugar, and both fall in love with her. Jerry/Daphne takes responsibility when Sugar's flask of alcohol falls, making them friends. Later that night, Jerry/Daphne takes some of Joe's alcohol to drink with Sugar, but the other girls hear about it and it soon becomes a group affair. Sugar is lost in the commotion, and Joe/Josephine goes to have a conversation with her. They are both now friends with Sugar, but have to constantly remind themselves that they are "women" and cannot make advances towards her. As they reach Miami, Jerry/Daphne is pursued by millionaire Osgood. Meanwhile, Joe steals the luggage from the only man – Bienstock, the band's manager. He uses it to adopt a second disguise: that of the heir to Shell Oil, known only as Junior. With this outfit, he will organize a chance meeting with Sugar. She is in love with “Junior” and they arrange to meet on “his” yacht. In reality, it is Osgood's yacht, while Daphne/Jerry takes Osgood to land to have their date. These two have a great time dancing, while things get hot and heavy between Sugar and Joe/Junior. As each of them returns to their lodgings, Jerry mentions such a good time and a potential marriage between him and Osgood. Unfortunately for them, Spats and his gang are in town. They are recognized and must escape cleanly. Sugar is called by "Junior", telling him that he has to move to South America. Joe and Jerry, while trying to escape, see Spats killed by the mob authorities, and are chased even further. In Sugar's melancholic song, Joe (dressed as Josephine) goes up and kisses Sugar for what he thinks is the last time. Osgood comes to the rescue, agreeing to take Jerry and Joe on the yacht to escape with "Daphne". At the last possible second, Sugar appears, realizing that Josephine is Junior and Junior is Joe. The two confess their love and kiss, while Jerry spends all his time convincing Osgood not to marry him. It ends with Osgood discovering that Jerry is a man and responding that "No one is perfect." In the Some Like it Hot-inspired film White Chicks, we open with a similar duo: FBI agents Kevin and Marcus, disguised to catch a drug dealer. Cocaine is supposed to come under the guise of “ice", but Kevin and Marcus are chewed out by their superior when they apprehend the real ice cream man instead. The leader lets them know they're on a tight leash, but he allows them to escort the high-class Wilson sisters as they land in the Hamptons. The Wilson sisters are suspected of being the next victims of a kidnapper the FBI is investigating. Kevin and Marcus, along with Brittany and Tiffany Wilson, get into a small collision and there are minutes injuries to the girls. There's nothing to stress about, but the girls refuse to leave the hotel they're staying at. Kevin and Marcus know it will be the end for them if they can't complete this simple escort mission, so they decide to disguise themselves as girls and go there themselves. Kevin and Marcus as Brittany and Tiffany meet the girls' friends, who initially question them, but believe they have just had surgery. They also meet the equally wealthy Wilson sisters' counterparts, Heather and Megan Vandergeld. Basketball player Latrell Spencer begins pursuing Tiffany/Marcus, while Kevin becomes interested in journalist Denise. In true Some Like it Hot fashion, Kevin convinces Marcus to go on a date with Latrell, while he swipes his keys and takes Denise on a date at Latrell's house (pretending to be him, though on). Denise reveals some information about the main suspect in the Kevin and Marcus case, which he considers a success and continues with his date. Meanwhile, Marcus calls Kevin to return Latrell's car and keys, which he reluctantly accepts. The next evening, the girls go out with Kevin and Marcus dressed up to a nightclub, where they see Heather and Megan. They dance and beat, the Vandergelds being beaten by the duo Kevin/Brittany and Marcus/Tiffany. One of the Wilson sisters' friends hopes to attract the attention of Heather's boyfriend, Heath, with her victory, but to no avail. Their depressed friend tells Kevin and Marcus the secret that the Vandergeld family is actually broke. Things start to improve for the two, but they quickly receive bad news: the real Wilson sisters have heard about "their" adventures in the Hamptons and think someone has been pretending to be them. Rival FBI agents Gomez and Harper search Kevin and Marcus' room and find their girl masks, ready to tell the chief the news. They arrest the real Wilson sisters when they arrive and strip them naked in front of the chief in an attempt to prove that they are actually men. Considering they stripped the real Wilson sisters, Gomez and Harper are fired. The Chief goes to see Kevin and Marcus in their room, where not long ago Marcus' wife found Kevin still dressed as a woman. Both lose their jobs and Marcus also loses his wife. They discover who is really behind the kidnappings: Warren Vandergeld and Heath, Heather's boyfriend. The fashion show continues, where the real Wilson sisters mingle with Kevin and Marcus. The impostors are revealed and Vandergeld initiates the kidnapping. He is arrested when he realizes he has Marcus instead of the real Tiffany. Shots are fired, with Latrell saving Tiffany and Kevin saving Denise, who was reporting at the scene. Vandergeld and his team are apprehended, Denise gives Kevin another chance, and Latrell is heartbroken that Marcus isn't white.
