Quicken Loans uses a flat organizational structure. This does not allow management to have all the powers. Quicken Loans' organizational design allows for networking of departments, which encourages employees to organize and cooperate. According to King and Simon (2015), for an organization to be successful, employees must be trained to improve their skills. Managers and team leaders must be able to find workers with varying abilities to work. In such a business design, it is relevant that the director has both technical and relational skills. Employees may need different forms of motivation, as rank and status take first place.
