This action led Eve and Adam to enter this world of pain and sin. Boland used the myth of Eve to elaborate on the speaker's horrific inner emotions and worries toward her beloved daughter. The speaker wants to protect her beloved daughter from bad experiences in life, but she also admits that she cannot go against the laws of nature because fate cannot be changed. The pomegranate
