'The architectural technologist draws inspiration from the development over time of divergent architectural genres' The aim of this report is to explore the above statement by relationship with a building of my choice, the building can be modern, post-modern or post-post-modern. In doing so, I have to discuss the historical formation of the movement and analyze the building I have chosen with particular reference to technologies. The “History of Architecture” module itself and the subject of this assignment were interesting and enriching. It is remarkable how building design has evolved throughout history. I decided to choose a post-post modern building because I am particularly interested in this area. These buildings are of particular interest to me because they are so well designed to operate in today's world where there are huge demands to reduce our impact on the environment. The materials and technology used and the brilliant ways in which passive techniques are performed fascinate me. In the first section, I will briefly discuss how we got to where we are today, in terms of the post-postmodern movement. The second section I will focus on the building of my choice where I will analyze the building features and technologies. In the final section, I will offer my conclusions and recommendations. SECTION 1 Every architectural style that has occurred throughout human civilization on this planet has been in response to something; a need for things to change. Whether it's fashion, beliefs, religions or the emergence of new technologies that have allowed us to build differently, everything happened for a reason as a result of something. Like all other architectural forms that appeared in the past, this new form appeared for a reason, as a result of something. Post-post-modernism was formed through our desire to reduce our impact on the environment. The need to address climate change while providing occupants with the comfort they need. These buildings are masterpieces of intelligent design, using the most innovative technologies to reduce energy consumption and maximize user experience. Post-postmodern buildings rise above traditional construction techniques, intricate plaster details, fanciful Corinthian columns no longer seem to matter. especially when building such things is likely to cause further damage to the environment.
