    "I enjoy the freedom of simply using my hands and 'found' tools - a sharp stone, the quill of a feather, thorns. Andy Goldsworthy may be one of the most famous sculptors in the world, but he takes his time creating his. works so that they are as accurate as in his head He is a renowned sculptor, photographer and environmentalist, his works reflect his lifestyle in the environment. Because he grew up on a farm, Andy Goldsworthy is. an architect who knows how to create exterior works with natural materials Andy Goldsworthy was born in 1956 in a small town in Cheshire, but he grew up in Yorkshire. Somehow he knew he was going to be an artist when he grew up. At the age of thirteen, Goldsworthy worked on a Yorkshire farm where he learned to create his future masterpieces. On the farm, Goldsworthy learned to use a shovel and hide. an animal and built a stone wall for the sheep (Brunton). Goldsworthy studied at Bradford Art College from 1974 to 1975; then he studied art at Lancaster University for a further three years. At Lancaster, Goldsworthy thought the classroom wasn't the best. place to work on his art, so he took his class outside. Goldsworthy found a beach in Morecambe Bay to work on his art projects. It is from this beach that his first works came. While still in college, Goldsworthy worked part-time on another farm to support himself until college. He found a lot of inspiration while working on this medium... very close to painting and feels them (Goldsworthy 153). Andy Goldsworthy is a sculptor who knows how to create his works with natural materials. Goldsworthy has many sculptures around the world; many of which are photographs of his true nature art. Goldsworthy travels around the world creating his sculptures and showing them to the world. Goldsworthy is a popular artist specializing in sculpture, photography and environmentalist.
