Essay / A summary of 12 Angry Men - 1009
12 Angry Men12 Angry Men is about a group of men appointed as jurors. They are placed in a room until they can come to a conclusion about whether or not the boy convicted of murder is guilty. The president of jury no. 1 was seated at the head of the table. Shown as a good leader and caring listener. When there was a quarrel between the men, it was he who interrupted them and advised them to settle down and talk it out like civil men. He was a football coach in his early years and his team lost the championship game. He is very organized and when he needed to vote, he counted the votes. Juror #2 was a grandfather and was new to the idea of the jury. He never said much, but when he did, he was always very insightful. Although he started with the guilty boys, throughout the hour he was willing to listen to what the others had to say, especially guy #8. He was the one who asked the other men to think more about the crime scene. When Guy#8 reconstructed the scene, he was the one who took the time to see how long it took the witness to arrive at the door and see the boy running. He also studied how the boy used the knife and where he got such a knife. Has a grandson who looks like big Albert. I had a little argument with guy #10, but I never really had any conflicts with the others. As they finished with the votes, he ended up changing his vote to not guilty. Juror #3, you could tell from the start that he was not a very happy man. He says he has three children, but one of them argued with him and left his house, but never really forgave him for that. He was the first to declare that the boy was guilty. Shown as a very angry, visual and proud man. As things heat up, he comes face to face with guy #8 and threatens...... middle of paper... hats off, a lot of people are capable of killing but few do it . Juror #12 was the peacemaker of the group. When he sees the others fighting, he tries to separate them and resolve the problem. He goes around and talks to some of the jury members, but they all ignore him. His first vote was that the boy was guilty, but after listening to what number 8 had to say, he changed his vote. There are many things I learned from this movie, but the first thing I learned is that knowledge is power. It was the men who knew the affair and its context who were able to encourage and persuade others to take their side. And the same goes for our class, the person who knows the situation or lesson the best will get a better grade or have more people wanting to be on their team. They have the power to change the game or persuade someone to see things their way..
