Essay / Why do people want to be rich - 779
Not everything expensive is good. Rich people can get whatever they want, but middle class people have to think about whether they need it, otherwise they can find the same thing cheaper. Most people try to find cheaper things, but some people buy expensive things because they think it will help them feel rich. First, people buy these expensive things, then they go into debt. Expensive things require a lot of money, but people don't have any, so they use credit cards to buy that. According to the article "All that glitters is not gold", it is stated that 32% of the car show attendees bought a car and 56% of the attendees said they were going to buy a car in the near future. This shows that people don't have money, but they saw that other people bought the car and they want it too. Last week my parents bought a new car because the old one broke down. My father said that everyone has big new cars, so we have to buy an expensive car like the others. I thought it was a stupid idea to look for an expensive car, but anyway, he found a good car, neither an expensive nor a cheap car. It's mid-priced and it's a wonderful car. Chasing expensive things, people forget to look at prices. They forget that they will have to pay for this thing for many years after buying it.
