    Without a structured protocol, I didn't know where I should have developed follow-up questions. At certain points during the interview, I was given a whole bunch of information and was overwhelmed. There were a few pauses during my short interview. Sometimes the interviewee would wait for me to ask more questions. She even kept asking me, “Is there anything else you want to know?” After the first twenty minutes of the interview, I was really struggling to follow the interview. I was confused and a little panicked to come up with the next question. Sometimes I would ask a random question just to keep the interview going. I felt like I was in a marathon and I was exhausted by the last run. I felt uncomfortable remembering the interview. I keep reminding myself that I did not know how to maintain a true inductive interview. Because the assignment only required a transcription of only twenty minutes, so I selected the best part of the interview. The worst part doesn't appear in the transcript. Then I just analyzed the good part of the interview. Eventually, I forgot my own worry about the poor quality of my inductive interview.
