  • Essay / Freedom and its types in Azerbaijan - 922

What is freedom? Most might say it's being able to express how you feel about something. others will perhaps say: Freedom to choose one's religion. Many people say that freedom to learn is an important thing in your country, like Malala Yousafzai who was shot in the head fighting for her freedom to learn. Some would say the freedom to move to another country, either by settling in Mexico or visiting family in Brazil. Azerbaijan is an example of a country that is not free. The United States is an example of a free country because we can talk about our president without having problems. There are currently only ninety free countries, fifty-eight partially free countries, and forty-seven unfree countries in the world. There is no country in the West that is not free, but Cuba and in the East there are forty-seven countries that are not free. There are many types of freedom. Free speech is an important thing, but what exactly is free speech? Well for example you can express your opinion or idea to the person without getting in trouble, it may be a little different in the workplace or at school depending on what you say about the person. It's okay to say something like: can you please stop doing this, it's distracting me? If you say something rude to someone at your workplace or school, it could get you in trouble. Freedom of expression, make no mistake, you can't say anything, for example if you are in a cinema and you shout fire, it will not go down very well. People would start to panic and get hurt, even seriously injured. Freedom of expression is basically the right to express one's opinion to others without getting in trouble but with certain limitations. Freedom of religion is easy to guess just by its name. The right to practice whatever religion you...... middle of paper...... overcome. That should start to change for them here soon. Works Cited “Freedom in the World”. Wikipedia.
